Steppin', pacey, catchy, clever, trancey drumnbass. The crazyness of the beats was just me drifting away from this template and inevitably getting into my usual rhythmic obsessions. i wrote the b-section later, aiming for an ozric tentacles -style "airy plateau", that winds into serious intensity with stacks of electric guitar. i like the b-section much more. the 'morph' was inspired by the production of keiretsu's "seismosis", where we had a 16-bar gap between two sections, and took every sound in each and literally twisted them into each other. Lots of fun - always seems to work out well: it ended up my favourite bit of the track in seismosis and in this one. Actual motto when making this track: "Reverse everything" Could (should) equally have been: "Shove a delay on everything" "Automate everything" Begun - Feb(?) 2002. Done - Mar 14 2002.
